Job Title: Float Pool Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting License: Valid RN license Certifications: Current BCLS certification; ACLS, CPI, NIHSS (preferred) Must-Have: Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring Ability to handle patient ratios of 1:4-5 Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail Description: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting. Demonstrate flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity as needed. Availability for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays, is required. Assist with patient care including managing intravenous therapy and telemetry monitoring. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care. Utilize electronic health records for charting and communication. Be prepared to handle various patient diagnoses and special procedures as necessary.
