PrimeCare of Southeastern Ohio, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)to join our expanding clinical team. Key Responsibilities:
As a CMA at PrimeCare, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive primary care services to our patients. Your duties will include:
- Patient assessments: Conducting initial assessments, including obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and relevant medical information.
- Clinical support: Assisting the healthcare provider during patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Patient education: Explaining medical procedures and treatment plans to patients, answering questions, and offering health-related guidance.
- Medication administration: Administering prescribed medications and injections, under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner.
- Lab work: Collecting specimens for lab tests, processing orders, and maintaining lab results.
- Electronic medical records (EMR): Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently in the EMR system. EPIC experience is a plus!
- Coordination of care: Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient follow-up: Contacting patients to schedule appointments, follow up on test results, and check in on their health status.
- Administrative support: Managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth clinical environment.
Requirements:
- Current certification or licensure: Ohio CMA certification is required.
- Excellent communication skills: Must be able to interact effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience in primary care: Previous experience in a clinical setting, especially in primary care, is preferred but not required.
