Automatic Machine Operator
Title: Automatic Machine Operator
Location: North Royalton, OH
Shift: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Job Summary
The Automatic Machine Operator is responsible for running an automatic cage machine to produce filter bag cages, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
Load wire from the wire truck onto the machine tray.
Feed wire and rings into the machine according to specifications.
Use foot pedal to weld rings and assemble cages.
Weld or crimp cups onto cages when required.
Inspect each cage for defects such as broken welds or sharp burrs.
Report production issues to the Production Line Foreman.
Repair broken cages in the welding booth when needed.
Keep the work area clean and organized at the end of each shift.
Assemble boxes and operate secondary machines as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
Regularly stand, reach, and use hands throughout the shift.
Occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Lift and/or move up to 15 lbs regularly.
Good vision (close vision, depth perception, focus adjustment).
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and occasional chemicals.
Loud noise environment; hearing protection provided.
