Role purpose

Provide leadership and direction to suppliers to ensure compliance to GKN’s Supplier Standards, QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) performance process requirements, AITF 16949 quality systems, AQP, and PPAP processes. Ensure KPIs are measured and managed and that results are reported. Collaborate with SQ community both Regional and Global. Lead CI/VAVE activities assigned. Lead APQP activities for Programmes assigned.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance through audits and assessments.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain quality metrics to track supplier performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and expectations.
• Provide training and support to suppliers on quality requirements and best practices.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier quality management or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
• Ability to travel as needed to supplier locations.

You should be proficient in:

• Quality Inspection Experience
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Quality Control Data Analysis
