Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio (ZIP 43210) – Ohio healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: Medical Oncology Unit (Med/Surg Tele)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (locum tenens contract)
• Start Date: September 28, 2025
• End Date: December 28, 2025
• Shifts: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); 3x12-hour shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Unit Census: 36 beds
• Float: May float to other Med/Surg Oncology units

RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Clinical skills: chemotherapy administration, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV starts, tracheostomy management, CPAP/BIPAP
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with oncology diagnoses (breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, esophageal cancers, sickle cell crises)
• Administer antineoplastic chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and manage comorbidities
• Implement infection prevention and patient fall protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services)
• Operate specialized equipment: GE telemetry systems, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds
• Document patient care using Epic EMR system
• Participate in self-scheduling and adapt to variable weekend coverage
