Residential Youth Worker

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting and guiding youth in a group home setting. This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights, behavior management, and medication administration while fostering a safe and nurturing atmosphere for all residents.

Responsibilities:**

• Provide direct support to youth residents in daily activities and personal care.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Advocate for resident rights, promoting dignity and respect in all interactions.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support positive outcomes for residents.
• Assist with recreational activities that engage residents and enhance their quality of life.
• Drive residents to appointments or community activities as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and changes in resident behavior or condition.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or assisted living facilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and resident rights is essential.
• Experience in memory care or direct support roles is highly desirables.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with you and their families effectively.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
• A valid driver's license is required for transporting residents when necessary.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Position Type:

• Full-Time
• Must be available to work weekends.

Shift Type:**

• 2^nd^ Shift
• 40 hours per week
• 2pm -- 10pm

Pay Range:

• $20 - $25 per Hour

Required Licenses or Certifications:**

• Driver's License
• High School Diploma or GED
