Shipping Lead

Ready to lead the charge in a fast-paced shipping environment? We're on the lookout for an energetic and reliable Shipping Lead to join our team on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 6 am to 230pm) . You'll be the go-to person for guiding the shipping team, making sure everything runs smoothly—from loading trucks safely to keeping paperwork and inventory on point. Forklift skills? Check. Teamwork? Absolutely. Eye for detail? Even better.

Job title: Shipping Lead
Shift: 1st (Monday – Friday 6 am to 230 pm)
Salary: $22-$23/hour based on experience
Location: Macedonia, OH

Duties and responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

• Leading and directing shipping department, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to procedures.
• Training new employees and providing ongoing support to improve skills and performance.
• Assisting with performance evaluations and providing input into employee development.
• Assigning tasks, distributing workloads, and monitoring progress to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensuring the safe and efficient loading of trucks, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
• Checking and completing necessary paperwork, including shipping manifests, bills of lading, and other documentation.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and identifying potential shortages or discrepancies.
• Operating and maintaining forklifts for loading and unloading.
• Performing quality checks on products before loading and shipping, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
• Ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and company procedures.
• Identifying and addressing any quality issues or discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Communicating effectively with other departments, supervisors, and external parties.
• Ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to all safety regulations.
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Forklift experience
• Good written and verbal skills
• Good computer skills and able to work with Microsoft office
• Attention to detail and safety
• High School diploma
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening
