Superintendent

Committed to delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent to lead on-site operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects. 

Position Overview: 

As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating on-site construction activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Working closely with the project management team, you will play a crucial role in achieving project goals and delivering exceptional construction outcomes. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in construction site management, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence. 

Responsibilities: 

• Schedule Execution : Implement and execute project construction schedule with subcontractor buy-in. Responsible for weekly updates of the 1-3 week schedule and execution.
• Safety : Responsible for site safety plan, weekly safety audits, subcontractor safety compliance, toolbox talks, discipline for lack of compliance, and compliance with company safety policies. 
• Quality and Inspections : Oversee and evaluate quality of work to ensure code compliance, prevent rework, inspection compliance, and schedule adherence.
• Subcontractor Liaison: Understand subcontract scopes and terms in order to ensure completeness, quality, and contract adherence of all subcontractors. Lead daily/weekly subcontractor meetings to ensure project coordination, plan, and buy-in. 
• Daily Reporting: Complete daily logs and project notes to inform the project team and document daily work, manpower, issues, progress, and weather conditions.
• Site and Material Security : Maintain jobsite trailer, materials, and equipment security to prevent theft and lost items. This also includes the management and coordination of jobsite deliveries, ensuring product is free from damage, and material storage locations. 
• Site Cleanliness: Ensuring the site is neat, organized, and free from trash. The superintendent holds each trade accountable for cleaning up scraps/trash created during each scope of work.
• Punch List/Closeout: Creates and manages punch list execution for both internal and customer punch process. May require toolbelt on when needed for small scope gap/timely, budget friendly punch.
• Develop Supervisors/Asst Superintendents/Labor : Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and/or co-ops, as assigned, including providing input on or completing performance appraisals.
• RFI’s : Communicate with PM and design team on RFI’s to ensure timely and quality work completion.
• Billing: Collaborate with the PM to ensure proper monthly billing and project profitability. This also includes the profitability of Manning site labor and project team.
• Site Leadership: Foster and maintain a positive team environment for all Manning and subcontractor personnel on site. Lead!
• Others as Assigned 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, and/or proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry. 
• Strong leadership and communication skills. 
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards. 
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. 
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor tasks as needed. 
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite..
