Job Summary

The Technical Production Fabrication Operator is responsible for setting up and operating fabrication equipment such as tube and wire benders, lasers, press brakes, and/or CNC mills. This role requires technical knowledge, attention to quality, and the ability to meet production and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Shift: 1st and 2nd are available

Pay: $16+/hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and set up fabrication equipment including tube/wire benders, lasers, press brakes, and CNC mills
• Demonstrate technical understanding in at least two (preferably three) fabrication areas
• Perform tooling setup and adjustments as required
• Inspect equipment for mechanical or safety issues and ensure tools are clean and debris-free
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting
• Understand and follow all job instructions and work orders
• Complete required documentation including production logs, quality checks, and heat codes
• Perform first-piece inspections by hanging parts on the check board as instructed
• Ensure proper tagging of bins, racks, and materials
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities
• Perform all required quality checks and report issues to supervision and Quality
• Run production efficiently while meeting productivity and quality standards
• Record scrap and rework on appropriate documentation
• Operate a forklift as required
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work areas
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience with at least one listed fabrication operation preferred
• Technical aptitude with willingness to learn additional equipment and processes
• Ability to read and use basic measurement tools (fixtures, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Comfortable learning and using both legacy and new computer software/interfaces
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to meet production goals and quality standards
• Proven history of good attendance and reliability
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift
• Ability to lift 20–50 lbs, depending on role

• Prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
• Forklift operation required at times
• PPE required per safety guidelines
