How you'll make an impactPosition Summary:
The Business Analyst (Microsoft SharePoint) concentrates on supporting processes and implementing process improvements, incumbent(s) are tasked with formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements under general supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing or modifying moderately complex information systems
 - Ensuring appropriate controls are in place
 - Supporting operational and project time reporting
 - Establishing, administering, and maintaining project and knowledge management processes and tools
 - Preparing both detailed and summary status reports
 - Analyzes business processes, identifies process deficiencies, researches solutions and plans and coordinates the remediation of these deficiencies
 - Assists with the design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient
 - As appropriate, write and validate business requirements and conduct system tests
 Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and technology staff, including offshore personnel, to ensure that communication is open and ongoing
- Guides and advises less-experienced Business Analysts
 - Provides administrative and project support to the team
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
 - 3 years related experience required including project support
 - Understanding of budgeting and financial management processes
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 - Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office
 
Preferred:
- Formal project management training or certification
 - Experience with Microsoft Visio and/or Project
 - Experience in Insurance or financial services
 
Work Traits:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
 - Good analytical and problem solvng skills
 - Strong attention to detail
 
U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

 - Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation
 - Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization
 - Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement which requires, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to nonsolicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure

Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
