Location: Select Medical - Multiple Sites/Locations | Schedule Options: Days or Nights | Full-Time – 36 hrs/week

Shift/Hours Information:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts)
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts)
- Weekends: Typically every other weekend (Sat–Sun)
- Holidays: Rotating schedule
- Call/Float: No required call; floating to other locations encouraged
Pay Details:
- Vary based on experience & location
Unit Highlights:
- Patient Population: Adolescent through geriatric
- Settings: Rehab and long-term acute care (LTACH), post-lung transplant experience preferred
- Vent Equipment: Trilogy, Vyaire (Transport Vent), V60 BiPAP
- RRT to Patient Ratio: Acuity-based; 1:1 with 7–9 airways per RT/site
Qualifications:
Required:
- RRT credential from NBRC (or state equivalent)
- BLS certification (AHA) required by start date
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program
- 1 year of RT experience preferred (new grads considered at select locations)
Preferred:
- Post-lung transplant and rehab experience
- Confidence in airway management and intubation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis
- Perform diagnostic tests: pulmonary function tests, ABG collection
- Administer respiratory therapies: oxygen, aerosol, medication, chest physiotherapy
- Manage ventilators and BIPAP/CPAP machines
- Collaborate with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on equipment use and respiratory health
- Document patient progress and ensure quality care
