TITLE: Director of Programming
REPORTS TO: Operations Leader
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SUMMARY:
The Director of Programming serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for
translating strategic priorities into high-impact, scalable, and outcomes-driven youth development
experiences. This role provides operational leadership across Club programs with a focus on safety,
engagement, and measurable results.
Reporting directly to the Operations Leader, the Director will drive cross-functional alignment, elevate
program quality through data-informed decision-making, and lead the continuous development of staff
and systems in support of organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic Program Leadership
a. Design and implement a system-wide youth development strategy aligned with mission
objectives.
b. Define and manage KPIs related to membership growth, average daily attendance (ADA),
retention, and program quality.
c. Lead innovation efforts, integrating successful pilots into core programming.
d. Act as primary staff liaison to the Board Program Committee, driving strategic dialogue and
accountability.
2. Program Oversight & Impact
a. Ensure consistent delivery of safe, engaging, and outcomes-based programming across all
Club sites.
b. Develop and manage evaluation systems to drive continuous improvement through
actionable insights.
c. Partner with the Grants team to align program budgets, ensure compliance, and meet
reporting requirements.
d. Optimize staffing models and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and impact.
3. Talent Development & Culture
a. Directly supervise Senior Club Directors and Club Directors, fostering a culture of
performance and accountability.
b. Lead onboarding, coaching, and performance management initiatives for program staff.
c. Ensure team alignment with strategic priorities, safety protocols, and operational
standards.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership
a. Partner with Resource Development to showcase program impact and support funding
opportunities.
b. Collaborate on grant applications and reporting, ensuring alignment with program
outcomes.
c. Work closely with Operations and Facilities to maintain safe, mission-aligned
environments.
5. Systems, Compliance & Data
a. Oversee data management systems (e.g., MyClubHub) to ensure accurate member and
program tracking.
b. Ensure compliance with safety, risk management, and financial protocols.
6. Governance & External Relations
a. Represent the organization in community coalitions, speaking engagements, and public
forums as needed.
b. Foster interdepartmental collaboration to drive integrated impact.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Education & Experience
a. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in education, nonprofit leadership, or public
administration preferred.
b. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in youth
development, education, or a related field.
c. Demonstrated success in leading teams and driving measurable program outcomes.
2. Skills & Competencies
a. Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and a coaching mindset.
b. Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage cross-functional teams.
c. Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
d. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with data management systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Based in a professional office environment with regular travel to Club locations.
2. Occasional evening and weekend commitments required for programs, events, and meetings.
3. Must be able to engage in youth environments, including standing, walking, and light lifting.

COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time, exempt leadership role offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits
package. Compensation is aligned with sector benchmarks and commensurate with experience.

Eligibility Notice:
This position is open to internal candidates currently serving at the Club Director or above as defined by our organizational structure. This criterion reflects the leadership experience, scope of responsibility, and strategic oversight required for this role.
