Job Description:

Vitalant is seeking a strategically minded, operationally grounded Operations Process Specialist for plasmaSource, our specialized plasma collection locations. This individual brings deep expertise in blood or plasma collection operations and a passion for transforming complex, real-world workflows into scalable, standardized processes. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of clinical operations, systems, and quality—able to connect frontline practices with enterprise solutions that drive consistency, compliance, and growth across a rapidly evolving business.

As an Operations Process Specialist, your impact is vital. You will design and optimize end-to-end operational processes, translating real-world collection workflows into clear, practical SOPs and scalable frameworks that support multiple clients and services. Acting as a key liaison across operations, IT, and quality, you will ensure seamless integration of people, process, and technology while supporting system implementations, onboarding new programs, and driving continuous improvement. Through your expertise, you will help ensure donor safety, operational efficiency, and high-quality outcomes—advancing plasmaSource’s ability to grow with consistency and excellence.

Salary: $75150.40 - 110208.80 - Salary is commensurate with experience and geographic location.

As an Operations Process Specialist, you get to:

  • Design and continuously improve end-to-end plasmaSource operational processes that scale across clients, services, and evolving business models
  • Translate real-world blood and plasma collection workflows into standardized, enterprise-level procedures that are clear, practical, and reusable
  • Build modular process frameworks that balance consistency with flexibility—avoiding one-off solutions while enabling adaptability
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and implement optimized solutions that enhance performance and reliability
  • Develop and maintain high-quality SOPs, technical documentation, and training materials that reflect operational reality and regulatory expectations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in plasma collection operations, evaluating how changes impact donor safety, staff workflows, and product quality
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, IT/BECS, Quality, and Training teams to align systems, workflows, and business needs
  • Support system implementations, testing, and validation to ensure seamless integration of people, process, and technology
  • Enable program growth by supporting new client onboarding and building scalable operational models that drive consistency from day one
  • Champion quality, compliance, and continuous improvement by supporting audits, driving standardization, and leading change initiatives across a dynamic environment
