Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asphalt Paving Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, and skid steers, to lay, smooth, and compact asphalt surfaces for driveways, parking lots, and roadways. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate asphalt paving machines and related equipment to apply asphalt to driveways, parking lots, and roads.

• Ensure proper depth, width, and grade of asphalt according to project specifications.

• Monitor the material flow and adjust settings for an even, smooth application.

• Work closely with crew members to maintain efficiency and safety on the job site.

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on paving equipment.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or materials to ensure quality results.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

• Assist with job site preparation and clean-up as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating asphalt paving equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, etc.).

• Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, compaction, and material properties.

• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
