Dental Assistant Job Details Location: Columbus, OH 43210 – Ohio dental jobs Healthcare Setting: Maxillofacial Prosthetics Unit Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025) Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1320–$1350 Documentation System: EPIC – IHIS Dental Assistant Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant Active State of Ohio Dental Board Radiographer License BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Experience with dental charting systems (EPIC preferred) Ability to obtain and record patient allergies, dental and medical history, and vital signs Strong infection prevention and sterilization practices Excellent communication and patient education skills References: 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role) Dental Assistant Responsibilities Assist dentists during dental procedures, including four-handed dentistry and maintaining a dry operative field Support laser-based treatments and maxillofacial surgical procedures Prepare and mix dental materials, take and pour impressions, and perform dental photography Set up treatment rooms and prepare dental instruments according to protocols Perform dental radiographs and operate specialized equipment (iCat, laser, autoclave, ultrasonic) Educate patients on oral health, prosthetic device care, and provide postoperative instructions Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment Maintain sterile dental equipment and stock supplies Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare support teams (Radiology, Transportation) Why Choose Columbus, Ohio?
