• Operate rubber extrusion machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to produce consistent rubber profiles and sheets according to specifications.
• Set up and adjust extrusion equipment, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and other fabrication tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and material integrity.
• Handle raw materials and finished products efficiently using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment and assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Support plastics blow molding, injection molding, and machining processes as needed for integrated manufacturing workflows.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
• Provide engineering and technical support for production.
• Oversee process control programs.
• Perform trial planning and execution.
• Analyze process variations and develop solutions.
• Develops and evaluates the extrusion process.
• Apply lean manufacturing methods to support plant continuous improvements efforts.
• Use technical data to determine performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support to internal customers for processing problems when necessary.
• Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in fabrication, machining, and the use of hand tools preferred.
• Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail for quality inspection.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.

Compensation:

• $16-17.50hr
