Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) Driver
LED Transportation is seeking responsible and compassionate drivers for our non-medical transportation services. This role involves transporting individuals safely and efficiently to scheduled appointments and assisting individuals with disabilities to and from adult day programs and work sites.
Full-Time and Part-Time Non-Medical Transport driver positions are available.
Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport individuals.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and LED policies.
- Follow scheduled pick-up and drop-off times while maintaining punctuality.
- Assist individuals in and out of the vehicle as needed.
- Maneuver wheelchairs and secure in vehicle for transport.
- Communicate clearly with individuals, caregivers, and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of trips and promptly report any incidents.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any vehicle issues.
- Availability for at least one weekend a month.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be 25 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must pass a background check and possible drug and alcohol screening.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections and minor issues.
Compensation:
- Pay is based on experience: $13.00-$16.00 per hour.
- 90-day probationary period.
