Job Description

Premier Health is seeking a Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeon capable of taking general call, to join their rapidly growing, comprehensive neuroscience institute. The new candidate will enjoy a robust clinical practice and join a team of specialty-trained neurosurgeons.

• Varian TrueBeam at MVH
• 3T MRI
• Epic System for Electronic Medical Records
• Stryker and Stealth Navigation, O-Arm
• 20-bed Neuro-ICU with 24-hour neurocritical care service
• Busy clinical practice including skull base neurosurgery, neurosurgical oncology, radiosurgery, and general cranial procedures
• Protected time for research including basic science, translational, and clinical studies
• New Neurosurgery lab at Wright State University (only 15 minutes from MVH)
• Opportunities for spine outcomes research
• Position includes an academic appointment at Boonshoft School of Medicine
• Case mix: approximately 85% spine and 15% cranial
• Elective case load at the surgeon's discretion, supported by clinic APPs
• Robust employed referral network, including primary care providers in the network
• Call schedule: 1/7, with comprehensive APP coverage for OR, rounding, consults, orders, and notes
• 24/7 in-house APP coverage providing the first call
• Dedicated Neurosurgery call room
• Neurointensivist coverage available
• Admitting services include Trauma Service, Hospitalist Service, and Intensivist Service; admissions primarily elective patients with hospitalist medical management
• Latest technology: 4 O-arms, 6 Stealth stations, Mazor Robot
• Integrated Epic EMR in clinic and hospital
• Two MRI machines
• 24/7 OR PA call teams
