General :

Produce hand molded clay products of acceptable quality in a timely, cost effective manner. Additionally on occasion, manually load, unload and package product from kilns. Off bear and stack products from continuous extrusion line.

Specifics:

Mix molding clay and maintain appropriate inventory of prepared clay

Mold products to designated design, density and thickness

Maintain design integrity and uniformity based on production catalog/manual for molded products

Provide accurate and timely production counts and time records

Dust protection (ie. respirator) required when dealing with dry powdered clay

Load green material on kiln

Unload fired material from kiln and package

Understand packaging methods and be able to apply methods and correct counts

Assist with extrusion setup and off-bear material from extrusion line

Comply with Sandkuhl Clay Works rules and policies
