Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2040 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias; accessing ports; arterial line management; blood product administration; central line care/management; PICC line management; IV starts; assist with chest tube insertion/removal; high flow nasal cannula (HFNC); interpretation of ABGs.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration. Soft tissue malignancy patients receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management. Symptom management related to disease treatment or progression; management of comorbidities. Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers; sickle cell crises; and encounters for antineoplastic chemotherapy.

Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity, including other MedSurg Oncology units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
