Mechanical Engineer

Description

Provide technical support to Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams Interpret and apply U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations related to vehicle displays Investigate, design, purchase, build, and implement machinery and production jigs Design, build, and set up new equipment for production environments Design equipment suitable for mass production, with emphasis on quality prevention/detection and maintaining cycle time Support existing production equipment, including current production and new model introductions Investigate and develop new production methods (R&D) Support Production and Maintenance teams with downtime reduction and equipment performance improvements Provide training to Production and Maintenance personnel on equipment and processes Read and understand basic electrical circuit and pneumatic drawings Implement design changes as required, including machine modifications Maintain basic computer hardware knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Proficient in Pro/ENGINEER (Creo) design software

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Experience and Education Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience designing machinery and tooling for a mass production environment. 3D design experience. Preferred Knowledge, Experience, and Education Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent training and experience. 5 years related design experience Pro/E_Creo 3.0 training and 2 years of use.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $45.67/hr.
