Business Development Assistant

Position Summary:
Are you a self-motivated professional looking to make a significant impact in business development and sales? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop under an experienced industry veteran with a strong network? Join us at Marous Brothers Construction (MBC) as a Business Development Specialist! In this role, you'll support our efforts to acquire new clients and opportunities, ensuring our proposals and client deliverables are organized and impactful. You'll be responsible for maintaining our client database, scheduling travel, doing market research, and interfacing with our Marketing Department.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Development and Sales Specialist at MBC, you will be deeply involved in every phase of our sales process. Your journey begins with initial and follow-up contacts with potential clients, working closely with the Director of Business Development and Operations Managers. You will qualify leads using established processes and maintain an accurate project pipeline database. Effective communication is crucial, so you will manage and curate our business development (sales) database, train personnel on its use, and develop niche-specific information.
You will attend professional seminars and share pertinent highlights with staff, produce standardized procedure manuals, and help support Marketing to determine proposal formats and ensure content accuracy. Organizing and assembling information for pre-qualification packages, researching prospective clients, and updating data will be key tasks. You will attend client or project review meetings, maintain and update project databases, and compile research on sector focus groups.
As the role progresses, you will assist in planning presentations, organizing materials, composing letters, emails, meeting minutes/agendas, and participating in various committees. You will prepare and submit expense reports, approve purchases/invoices, and assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Do you have a few years of related work experience? Do you have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience? Are you well-versed in the construction industry and understand relationship-based business development models? Do you possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills? Have you ever used a CRM? If you have construction-related business development/marketing experience and can work as a team player, you might be the perfect fit for this role. Your ability to coordinate, manage, and direct others effectively will be crucial to your success.
