Outlet Team Member at Woodlawn
Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries, founded in 1916, is one of the largest providers of rehabilitation services in the State of Ohio. Utilizing our retail store network, we generate sales revenue to support thousands of individuals with disabilities and homeless local veterans.
POSITION SUMMARY: (WHAT, HOW, WHY) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Outlet Team Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with daily operations, and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
- Customer Service : Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product selection.
- Sales Support: Operate cash registers, process transactions accurately.
- Recycle : Placing proper items into their correct categories.
- Store Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the outlet, including registers, displays, and common areas.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with colleagues to meet sales goals, resolve issues, and support the smooth operation of the outlet.
- Product Knowledge : Stay informed about current promotions, new arrivals, and product details to provide customers with up-to-date information.
- Housekeeping/Janitorial.
- Maintaining areas around the Outlet building. Bring shopping carts back into building/picking up debris.
- Unloading bins to assist with daily Recycling.
- Other tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Work a flexible schedule in support of the store opening, production, and closing operations including work on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to be fluent in English.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all our customers in a friendly and engaging way.
- Ability to problem solve, ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to follow directions well and communicate effectively.
- A minimum of six months of previous work experience, or the equivalent educational or vocational experience preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Reliable organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
This position requires a rotating flexible schedule based on the needs of the business to include days, evenings, and weekends. Overtime when needed. Open availability is a must.
