We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Treatment Plant Coordinator 2 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Deer Creek State Park , assigned to Pickaway county. The address is 20635 State Park Road 20, Mt Sterling, OH 43143-9501.

What you will do…

  • Serve as Operator of Record to operate Class 1 wastewater treatment Plants and Class 1 Water Plant at Deer Creek State Park
  • Coordinate activities of facilities in the operation & maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants (e.g., schedules chemical laboratory tests, oversees plant record keeping & ensures compliance with Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wastewater regulations)
  • Manage process controls by conducting routine sampling & monitoring daily or as required by Ohio EPA
  • Manages water & sewage plant equipment (e.g., lubricates all moving parts, changes packing, removes & replaces worn parts)
  • Oversees safety inspection program of treatment facilities
  • Must have Class 1 Wastewater Operator License and Class 1 Water Supply License
  • Starting hourly pay of $27.92/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary $36.90/hr

Qualifications

Certificate of class at least equal to that required by water system or wastewater works classification pursuant to Rule 3745-7-02, Environmental Protection Agency; 12 mos. exp. as treatment plant operator in water &/or sewage treatment plant which included conducting routine laboratory tests on treatment plant flows; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in employee training & development; valid drivers' license.
