Job Title: Reach Truck Operator (1st Shift) ($20/hr.)

Job Description

As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for locating materials and moving them to the appropriate area using a forklift. You will also unload packaging and raw material trucks, pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping when required. Loading materials onto truck trailers, verifying items, and staging loads for full truck and LTL shipments are key duties. Additionally, you will close production work orders, perform some assembly work, pick parts and products, and operate equipment to collect, deliver, and package goods.

Responsibilities

• Locate and move materials using a forklift.
• Unload packaging and raw material trucks.
• Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping.
• Load materials onto truck trailers, ensuring optimal delivery sequence.
• Verify materials to confirm correct items are placed on trucks.
• Stage loads for full truck and LTL shipments.
• Close production work orders as needed.
• Perform assembly work as required.
• Pick parts and products, organize items ordered by customers, and prepare them for shipment.
• Operate equipment to collect, deliver, and package goods.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of stand-up forklift or reach truck operation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Experience with RF Scanner/Inventory tracking.
• Forklift certified.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
• Steel toe boots.

Work Environment

The facility is extremely well-kept and well-lit. While it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to open bay doors, it is a comfortable working environment. The facility is a new edition, showcasing a commitment to growth and modernization. The standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for 4-day work weeks during busy seasons. Employees enjoy two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mentor, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
