Dispatch/Customer Service Representative

A transportation company is seeking an individual to enter data into the company database and answer phone calls from customers regarding services and deliveries. Additionally, you will assist with routing drivers and let customer know when routes are running late. There is an opening on second shift; however, you need to be flexible with hours to assist with periodic vacation coverage.

Job Duties:

Provide customer service, answer phone calls and emails
Type documents, enter data, audit and invoice customers, sort, handle, and process paperwork
Assist with dispatching or routing drivers and let customer know when routes running late
Interact with the drivers to review their paperwork, scan and update in the computer system, and file
Verify and complete required documentation and reports
Maintaining daily reports in Word, Excel, and Crown Computer System
Lift cartons and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
Handle daily attendance at assigned work location promptly and accurately
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have 1 year Dispatching experience
Must have previous customer service experience; Previous transportation experience a plus
Must have excellent communication and computer skills with quick and accurate data entry
The ability to perform basic math functions, follow instructions, complete required training, and work independently and also as a team player is needed
Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to pay a high attention to detail
Must have the ability to bend, twist, squat, push, and pull freight throughout shift
Must be able to adhere to company safety policies and pass a company Pre-Hire Screen test
