Summary/Objective
The DSP/Supervisor is responsible for working with their crew in an injection mold facility. All aspects of this position require an individual who is safety conscious, has an enjoyable, outgoing attitude, and wants to excel in a group employment workforce. This position is responsible for enforcing and maintaining all policies and procedures. This position is required to meet internal and external customer needs in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
Major Work Duties
Essential Job Functions
- Train crew members on the following task or operations
- Operate injection molding machines and assembly equipment
- Safely use hand tools (clippers, knifes / trim tools & tape guns)
- Visually inspect parts for defects
- Label and assembled boxes
- Package product and palletize product according to the specs
- Palletize master cartons according to specs
- Notify Production Supervisor of any nonconforming parts
- General housekeeping
- Effectively communicate problems and issues with management
- Enter daily hours, productivity and general data on tablets
- Provide transportation for clients
Qualifications
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Must follow all OSHA safety regulations
- Must model appropriate behavior in the workplace
- Must possess a positive customer service attitude and image
- Must be willing to work as a team member
- Follow instructions
- Handle change in routines
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with less than six points
Supervisory Responsibility
- Must train and oversee crew members (per DODD rules and properly supervising and safety techniques, reviewing the training effectiveness)
- Must maintain a Safety Program for crew members, reviewing for continuous improvements
- Must maintain all crew members' ISPs, making sure the most recent ISP for each crew member has at the worksite (per DODD rules)
- Must follow MUI/UIR reporting procedures (per County Boards and the DODD rules)
- Must report any changes or behavior issues to the Training & Advocacy Support Manager, Service & Support Administrator (SSA), the Weaver Group Employment General Manager.
- Must complete and submit all required paperwork (tracking forms, etc.)
- Must ensure crew members wear their PPE at all times
Physical Demands
- The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, reach, feel, and manipulate objects or controls.
- The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods, walk distances, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- ·The position is full-time, Monday through Friday.
- ·Some evenings or weekends may be required.
