Join Our Team as an HR Business Partner!
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving organizational effectiveness and workforce success? Irby Utilities is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support key areas of our business.
In this remote role, you'll work closely with leadership to identify opportunities to increase organizational effectiveness and productivity in HR-related capacities. Reporting to the HR Director, you’ll play a critical role in supporting business growth, fostering innovation, and driving initiatives that contribute meaningfully to Irby’s overall success.
What You’ll Do:
Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, guiding performance management, employee relations, and talent development.
Gain in-depth knowledge of Irby’s roles, personnel, and business strategy.
Collaborate across departments and geographies to align HR strategies with business goals.
Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to attract top talent through best practices in recruiting, onboarding, compensation, and workforce planning.
Facilitate training on HR topics including leadership development and performance management.
Support management in investigating and resolving employee relations matters with professionalism and care.
Analyze HR metrics to inform decisions and develop impactful policies and programs.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and partner with Legal to mitigate risks.
Champion corporate initiatives and communicate their value to field teams.
Serve as a subject matter expert in HR systems (ATS, Payroll, Benefits, Core HR).
What You Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of strategic HR Generalist or Business Partner experience.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance.
Proven ability to foster strong, trust-based relationships across all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
Experience in employee relations, performance management, and HR investigations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing HR consultation and partnership to business unit executives and senior leaders.
Background in change management and implementing HR initiatives across diverse business segments and teams.
Strong business acumen and HR expertise across multiple disciplines.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
