We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative - Transportation Clerk to join our client's team in Marion, Ohio. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-known logistics operations through administrative support and coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a second shift role with the hours of 2p - 10:30p.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Assist with payroll functions, including reconciliation and reporting.

• Track and order office supplies to maintain inventory levels.

• Perform billing tasks and manage collections processes.

• Maintain and update databases, ensuring data integrity.

• Audit driver logs, trip reports, and other transportation-related documentation.

• Provide excellent customer service, including resolving driver equipment requests and addressing inquiries.

• Manage pallet tracking and maintain route books for daily operations.

• Coordinate with drivers to address vacation coverage and overflow freight needs.

• Dispatch yard drivers manually and update systems to reflect yard movements accurately.

• Proven experience in administrative or transportation-related roles.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
• Proficiency in office functions, including billing, reconciliations, and payroll.
• Familiarity with databases and reporting systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in auditing logs and maintaining files.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts as required, including punctual attendance.
• Knowledge of transportation services and dispatching processes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
