Job Summary
In the Talent Acquisition Partner role, you can use your talents to contribute to improving global health and peoples’ lives by providing recruiting support for our client sites and division leadership. Your skills will staff these sites with quality individuals that will ensure the health and well-being of all the species in the facilities, as well as the integrity of the research. You will partner with other TA Partners to work through challenges, brainstorm, share effective practices and offer additional support where needed.
This role is for a temporary contract until February 2026 with the possibility to be extended based on business needs. The role will be hybrid and can be located near one of the following sites, Ashland, Spencerville or Cleveland.
Responsibiltiies:
- Manage recruiting and staffing processes and best practices for the business.
- Utilize various cost-effective sourcing strategies, such as internet job boards, networking, resume mining, social networking, cold calling, diversity/inclusiveness initiatives, employee referral programs, college/university recruiting and job fairs to source and attract top talent.
- Pre-screen all applicable candidates, recommending candidates to hiring manager based on detailed requirements of position and job competencies, providing hiring manager with reasoning for advancing candidate.
- Effectively utilize our applicant tracking system to manage and track job postings and recruitment activity and ensure process compliance. You will need to track, report and support future staffing initiatives.
- Establish credibility and positive, professional working relationships and remain engaged with hiring managers and senior management to stay abreast of hiring process.
- Partner with HRBPs and hiring managers to better understand business needs, assist with job descriptions, forecast talent acquisition needs and to develop proactive candidate pipeline strategy.
- Create and maintain relationships with candidates to keep the pipeline open for future positions.
Job Qualifications
- B.S. in Human Resources or Life Sciences preferred; SHRM certification preferred.
- Must have 3-5 years’ related recruiting experience; of which 1-2 years of scientific staffing is desired.
- Proficient in using IT staffing tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook).
- Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize a heavy workload in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Ability to work with all levels of executives and management, with strong interviewing and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of interpersonal skills.

Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $35-$42hr. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
About Safety Assessment
Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
