Process Quality Engineer

Title: Process Quality Engineer

Shift: First Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 (Commensurate with experience) plus bonus potential

Process Quality Engineer Role:

The Process Quality Engineer supports manufacturing by fine-tuning production processes and ensuring product characteristics meet strict standards. This role exists to bridge the gap between technical design and floor production through data collection and quality control implementation.

Process Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

• Execute data collection and analysis to identify process variations and quality trends
• Support the Quality Manager in the implementation of PFMEAs and control plans
• Assist in the handoff of new products from R&D to the manufacturing floor
• Fine-tune production processes to ensure consistent product quality
• Perform root cause analysis on production defects and suggest modifications
• Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot product characteristics
• Monitor quality controls on the production floor to ensure SOP compliance
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects
• Provide technical support to the Quality Assurance Technicians in the lab
• Document process changes and update technical specifications as needed

Process Quality Engineer Reporting Relationships:

This position reports directly to the Quality Manager. There are no direct reports.

About You:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related)
• Possess 0-5 years of experience; we will consider high-potential recent graduates
• Demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and a desire to learn "on the job"
• Exhibit strong technical aptitude and a "hustle" mentality
• Apply basic knowledge of quality tools such as SPC or root cause analysis
• Show the ability to work effectively in a traditional, "old-school" manufacturing setting
• Maintain strong communication skills to interact with both engineering and production teams
• Reside within or are willing to commute to the Marietta, OH area
