Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Criminal Division
The Lake County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is devoted to the pursuit of justice. Our office is focused on protecting the innocent just as aggressively as we prosecute the guilty. Applicants must possess ethical and professional standards that are well-aligned with these values and the culture of our office.
We are hoping to recruit individuals with integrity and a strong work ethic to join our prosecutorial team. Top qualified candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, quick decision-making skills, the ability to handle pressure, and a genuine interest in litigation and trial work.
A career as an Assistant Prosecutor provides unmatched opportunities. As an Assistant Prosecutor, you will receive daily courtroom exposure, allowing you to gain valuable trial experience faster than those working in the private sector. Assistant Prosecutors are encouraged to participate in web-based trainings based on their interests and to attend state and national seminars regularly. Being an Assistant Prosecutor allows you to take an active role in maintaining the integrity of Lake County’s criminal justice system.
BENEFITS
Our Career Prosecutor compensation plan is designed to attract, retain, and reward the talent and experience of Assistant Prosecutors. Our compensation strategy recognizes individual performance and work ethic.
