To support substantial client care needs in Southeast Ohio, we are seeking 2-3 skilled, compassionate, and professional Home Healthcare Aides / Caregivers to join our agency in a part-time or full-time capacity, providing care and services to existing and new clients in Waverly, OH and surrounding communities.

- Immediate weekday cases available for Part-time (20-32 hrs/wk) and Full-time (32+ hours per week) HHAs/Caregivers, with additional hours available in evenings and weekends (if desired).
- Part-time Aides: after starting, you will have the option to add additional clients if desired (not required).
- Home care experience and/or credentials (incl. CHHA, CNA, STNA) are desirable, but HHAs / Caregivers with 1+ years of paid experience - or those committed to building a caregiver career with our agency - are encouraged to apply.
- Typical travel distance between clients is 5-25 minutes, with optional cases at 30-60 minutes distance if desired. Mileage is reimbursed for all travel between clients.

Starting Pay Rates: $12.50 - $14.50 per hour
- Starting Pay is based on certifications, experience, work history and attendance, client coverage, and overall fit.
A successful Home Healthcare Aide provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist in their region. You will be assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professionals and perform services for clients as necessary to maintain personal comfort and safety in their home.
Report to: RN Case Manager/Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful completion of a formal certification training program (CNA, STNA, HHA) and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
- Meet the training and/or certification requirements of the state in which the home health aide services are being provided. This includes specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.
- CPR and First Aide Certifications required (or can be obtained prior to hire date through our agency or accredited third parties).
- 1+ year experience in home care or caregiving setting is highly preferred.
- Strong attendance and dependability track record with previous employers.
- Good interpersonal skills and compassion for helping others live their best lives are required.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.
- Desirable character traits: reliable, honest beyond reproach, professional, compassionate, detail-oriented (in care + documentation), accountable, friendly and accommodating, respectful.
- Be at lease eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current driver's license or State ID, and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness and ability to pass a background check
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Performs simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the therapist.
- Range of motion exercises
- Assistance in ambulation or exercises
Performs personal care activities, including but not limited to:
- Bathing
- Shampooing
- Skin care/nail care
- Oral hygiene
- Shaving
- Dressing
Performs household services essential to health care at home, including but not limited to:
- Meal preparation/feeding
- Laundry
- Light Housekeeping
- Assists the patient in taking medications under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes opening a container or pill caddy & handing it to the patient, but does not include administration of the medications.
- Knows and follows infection control policies, including proper handwashing techniques.
- Reports any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.
- Documents care provided and completes the forms required for the client's records. Completes the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent observations.
- Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.
- Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Does not use equipment until orientation has been provided. Notifies supervisor of educational needs.
- Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.
- Treats patients and families with respect. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Accepts and fulfills assignments with the agency. Exercise good judgment in accepting assignments.
- Participates in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements. Identifies learning needs to agency supervisor.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary
