Position Overview:
AES is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist eager to join our team in Akron, OH.
Candidates must have hands-on experience in machining molds, blueprint reading,
quality control and can work with our Programmer/Machinists to increase the throughput
of our machining department. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-precision, team-
oriented environment and is committed to continuous improvement.
What you will do:
● Machine complex molds and precision components to tight aerospace and
defense tolerances.
● Operate and troubleshoot 5-axis CNC mills, primarily using Heidenhain controls.
● Read and interpret technical blueprints and CAD drawings.
● Work independently through instructions and/or production schedules.
● Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize part accuracy and
productivity.
● Adhere to all company safety policies and quality standards, including AS9100
practices.
Qualifications we require:
● Must have a minimum of five (5) years of CNC machining experience.
● Must have 5-axis CNC milling experience.
● Have an understanding and use of tooling, inserts, speeds/feed and fixtures.
Ability to hold tight tolerances.
● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
● Must possess shop math and analysis skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Must be U.S. Persons (8 USC 1324b(a)(3)) or otherwise authorized by the U. S.
Government.
● Ability to be moderately active for 8 or more hours a day, including standing,
kneeling, bending over, and lifting up to 70 pounds with reasonable
accommodation.

Qualifications we prefer:
● Experience with machining molds.
● Experience with Heidenhain controls.
● Basic understanding of 3D CAD models.
● Experience in aerospace, defense and other regulated manufacturing industries.
