HVAC Technician
Position Summary
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial clients. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and controls
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve performance and extend equipment life
• Install new HVAC systems and components according to specifications and blueprints
• Test system performance using appropriate tools and adjust controls for proper operation
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer communications
• Respond promptly to service calls and provide exceptional customer service
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, building codes, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with other trades and departments to complete projects efficiently
• Provide recommendations for system improvements and energy efficiency
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or HVAC degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience in commercial or industrial environments
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and dependable
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions
• Ability to stand, climb, and work at heights for extended periods
