LOCATIONS
HAHN Automation Group has locations in Miamisburg OH, Hebron KY, Columbia SC, and Brooklyn Park MN. All of our locations are actively recruiting for Controls Engineers (Machine Programmers). When applying please be sure to specify your preferred location or if you are open to relocation.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from initiation through final delivery, ensuring customer expectations, project objectives, quality standards, schedules, and financial targets are achieved. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, this role plans and coordinates project activities, monitors budgets and resources, identifies and mitigates risks, and serves as the primary point of communication throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager fosters strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaboration, transparency, and successful project execution.

Success in this role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The Project Manager provides direction to cross-functional teams, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with company processes, safety standards, and best practices while contributing to the organization's commitment to quality, innovation, integrity, and customer satisfaction.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: 3-5+ years of project or account management experience from within a technical equipment manufacturer

Additional skills:

  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects of various durations and complexity, simultaneously, in an environment where priorities are constantly changing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams in order to achieve project and overall corporate goals
  • Strong customer service mindset, considering customer needs and concerns in decision-making
  • Experience tracking and reporting on project financial management and budget
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine design to manage the development of complex equipment in a timely fashion
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and manage project risks (technical, budget, schedule) in order to ensure project goals are met
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, both internal and external, to foster collaboration and support
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software, and familiarity with 3D design software—SolidWorks preferred
  • A commitment to integrity, ethical and economical practices, and the organization’s mission
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet project requirements

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

The principal duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring milestones, quality standards and agreed objectives are met
  • Monitor budget (target vs. actual), manage change orders, ensure financial transparency and profitability contribution
  • Plan and control timelines, capacities and resource allocation across project lifecycle in alignment with the functional department management
  • Steer customer communication and manage internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, align interfaces, and provide performance and development feedback to management
  • Ensure process adherence, occupational safety and contribute to continuous improvement and portfolio development

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

As a member of HAHN Automation Group, applicants must be able to interact safely in a manufacturing environment. This includes:

  • Full body mobility with the ability to bend, stoop, climb, and lift or move 25 lbs. of weight
  • The ability to walk within restricted areas of the company manufacturing plant
  • Professional conduct in regards to hygiene and dress
  • The ability to read and prepare business documents as well as conduct business over the telephone in a sometimes-loud environment
  • The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • The ability to travel to customer, supplier, and/or inter-company sites via vehicle or airplane (both domestic and international)
  • Valid driver’s license with driving record of acceptable risk as defined by HAHN Automation Group US’s insurance company
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States now and in the future without employment visa sponsorship
