Seasonal Maintenance - Streets

The City of Athens is seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join our seasonal maintenance team at the street department. Duties include the following:

• Assisting in mowing operations and weed trimming
• Painting
• Asphalt repair
• Tree and brush maintenance
• Manual labor including lifting heavy materials & working in adverse weather conditions
• Other outdoor duties related to street maintenance
  

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire to apply. Applicants may be required to work weekends.This is a seasonal position expected to last about 120 days, and is covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The pay rate is $12.00 - $14.50 per hour depending on experience.
