Training Supervisor
We are seeking a leader to train all individuals on all shifts.
What can you expect? Our company has a longstanding, family promise to deliver high-quality bread products and are looking for an additional resource to lead quality, food safety and regulatory initiatives. We operate two 24-7 bakeries with multiple product lines. This person will engage directly with operations and sales as well as other key teams and customers to deliver products that meet our high standards of excellence. This position works for the Director of Operations.
Your Day to Day:
This person will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Collaborate with Plant Manager and Plant Superintendents to identify personnel requiring training.
- New hires will be given the highest priority.
- Individuals who have won bids will be the second priority.
- The third priority will involve providing updated and yearly training for all employees.
- Engage with each trainee until they demonstrate confidence in their job responsibilities.
- Develop training resources tailored for each role within the facility.
- Collaborate with the plant manager to align the work schedule, ensuring that training sessions are given priority.
- Complete the necessary training documentation daily and maintain a record of all training activities.
- Advocate for the implemented safety programs and safe operational practices while overseeing employee adherence to these standards.
- Ensure the completion of administrative documentation on a daily and weekly basis.
- Inform the Plant Manager regarding the activities of the department on a daily and weekly basis.
- Execute additional responsibilities as delegated.
- Language Proficiency: Preference for candidates who are fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Education Background: A high school diploma or equivalent
- Work Experience: Previous experience in a bakery, similar food production environment, or manufacturing is beneficial.
- Knowledge Base: A comprehensive understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, FSSC Standards.
- Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal and listening skills are necessary for effective interaction with all levels of management and staff.
- Organizational Abilities: Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines are required.
- Professional Conduct: A proven track record of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while supporting the company’s mission and values is expected.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, along with research capabilities, is required.
- Legal Requirements: Must be authorized to legally work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license.
- Physical exertion: Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds periodically, stand for long periods (12-hr shifts), bend, kneel, climb, stoop, and crawl.
- Environnemental demands: Exposure to extreme temperatures and loud noises.
- Hearing: The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
