Precision Machining Specialist — CNC & Manual Equipment

Picture starting your afternoon in a spotless, well-organized shop, picking up a print for a moderately complex part, and deciding the best way to attack the job. You’ll set your workholding, dial in offsets, and bring parts into spec on both CNC and manual equipment—then verify with micrometers, dial indicators, and Vernier calipers before coaching a junior teammate on a smarter tooling approach. Shift & Training

2nd Shift: 3:00 pm–11:00 pm. Initial training will be on 1st shift for approximately 3–6 months.

What You’ll Handle

• Set up and run manual lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, as well as CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Modify, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and tooling to keep production humming
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints for moderately complex components
• Conduct precise inspections using micrometers, dial indicators, and Vernier calipers
• Mentor junior machinists and suggest tooling/process improvements
• Uphold a clean, organized, and safe workspace using 6S principles

What You Bring

• 3+ years of practical machining experience across manual and CNC platforms
• Strong grasp of mechanics, shop math, metal properties, and cutting techniques
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to lead when needed
• A proactive, continuous-improvement mindset
