IT Associate BA

Job Summary:
The IT Associate Business Analyst contributes to a cross-functional team in optimization of application capabilities & business processes. This role will provide Business Analysis and Project/Product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and on-going support of the relevant lines of business (LOBs).
- Define requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities.
- Participates in the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and an optimized user experience.
- Capture requirements for a low complexity system or module; understands the SDLC and its impact on deliverables.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team.
- Work with developers and quality assurance teams to ensure requirements are well understood and optimal solutions are derived
- Build expertise in specific business processes that support business objectives.
- Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience.
- Understands security, risk management, and IT process principles and escalate to appropriate team(s) as needed.
- Active participation in Agile squad ceremonies, utilize Agile principles, and tools (Confluence, JIRA).
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in IT / Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience working as a Business System Analyst or related IT roles.
- Analytical skills.
- Must be able to familiarize with and be hands on with the software application platform(s) supported by the squad.
- Must be able to familiarize and understand technical implementation of the software application platform(s) and bridge the gap between business and technology.
- Ability to work in a group/team setting.
- Takes accountability/responsibility for tasks and actions.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and team player with positive attitude.
- Familiar with Agile, Scaled Agile Framework and Waterfall concepts.
- Familiarity with technical integration patterns including real time, batch integration patterns.
- MS Suite proficiency Word, Excel, PPT.
- Agile tools proficiency JIRA, confluence and the like.
- Business Analysis deliverable in the form of use cases, process flows, data mapping documentation.
- Must be driven to deliver quality and have attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Retail Branch and Teller Operations.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
- Operations experience as Teller using Argo Teller21 platform, OLDs or equivalent exposure to retail branch Teller operations and systems.
- Familiarity with Alogent Front Counter or other check processing and GL reconciliation processes for Retail Branches.

Physical Demands:
- IT - Ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent lifting of 1 – 10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties. If located near a KeyBank location, the position in the future may work partially from a Key facility. If not located near a Key facility, team will consider remote workers.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $63,000.00 - $96,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
