Utility Plant Operator II
- Take plant readings, monitor utility system performance, conduct water testing and make changes as necessary to provide reliable and efficient plant operations
- Respond to alarms and utility system conditions
- Perform troubleshooting and inspection activities
- Complete startup, shutdown and Lock Out/Tagout of equipment
- Review and update plant SOP's and training material
- Operate current and future utility plant equipment including but not limited to boilers, turbines, chillers, air compressors, emergency generators and associated equipment
- Assist in training new engineers
- Maintain and clean plant equipment and building
- Gather information relevant to previous shifts and deliver relevant information to oncoming shift
- A minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- State of Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer's License; with a minimum (two) 2 years' experience
Ability to work 12-hour shifts (6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM), every other weekend and some holidays Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license; will drive company vehicle Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy Compensation Hourly Range: $27.40 to $42.02 USD hourly This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
