The salary for range for this position is between 50k-55k per year depending on relevant experience and licensure.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Education: Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling required. SUD/ co-occurring treatment experience preferred.
  2. Licensure: Valid Ohio LSW, LPC required. LISW or LPCC preferred.
  3. Skills/Competencies: Strong clinical skills including expertise in crisis intervention, diagnosis/diagnostic assessment, clinical service referrals, brief mental health counseling, trauma informed care, family systems theory and motivational interviewing. Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Court Involved Therapist is tasked with identifying, assessing, and treating young men and women who are referred to the Crossroads Program on the Lorain County Detention campus. The Therapist will be responsible for clinically assessing and diagnosing individuals referred to the program as well as conducting counseling interventions with clients and families both at the center and in the home/community to meet the needs of the youth and families we serve. The Court Involved Therapist reports to the Division Director of Youth Justice Services. This position reports to an off-campus location. The Court Involved Therapist is expected to maintain appropriate professional and clinical boundaries in a community based setting

This is a Full-Time position Monday - Friday. Weekly Schedule can be flexible to meet the program and employee needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Provide high quality, detailed and in depth bio/psycho/social and/or chemical dependency assessment for youth referred to program.
  2. Meet or exceed productivity targets as well as collect outcomes measures/data at designated reporting periods, including intake and discharge.
  3. Gather information for ongoing treatment needs and goals and prepare detailed recommendations for clients upon stepdown from the program.
  4. Assessment, development of treatment goals and interventions, implementation of interventions, and identification and targeting of barriers to treatment progress.
  5. Develop comprehensive, diagnostic case conceptualization as well as focused, measurable and achievable service plans that are consistent with the client's identified needs and cultural assessment-cultivating and maintaining professional alignment and engagement with families.
  6. Appropriately articulate and present clinical findings, therapeutic goals/targets, and recommendations to clients, families and court staff in a professional manner.
  7. Form and maintain collaborative working relationships with collateral professionals, court staff and/or agencies concerning individual cases.
  8. Develop and maintain the clinical record through timely and legible completion of assigned documentation according to applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  9. Close cases in a timely manner, accurately completing aftercare plans and related paperwork, including treatment summaries, based on goal achievement and/or agency policy/procedure.
  10. Attend weekly team meetings and supervisions on time and as scheduled.  Be open to feedback and suggestion from others, be prepared for meetings, actively participate as a supportive team member, and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and Crossroads program staff.
  11. Actively and consistently participate in trainings.
  12. Submit all necessary documentation and reports within contractual deadlines.
  13. Has/maintains a good on-time and attendance record.
OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Maintain awareness of industry trends and professional knowledge by attending agency training, maintaining continuing education standards and reviewing professional publications.
  2. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training as required
  3. Maintain trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards
  4. Maintain necessary documentation and oversight of client clinical record
  5. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.  All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  6. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  7. Other duties as assigned by management.
