HR Coordinator
- Assist in full-cycle recruitment: posting jobs, review resumes for qualification alignments, screen candidates, schedule interviews, facilitate onboarding.
- Administer employee benefits (enrollment, changes, terminations) and serve as a benefits point of contact.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, credentialing, and orientation (including background checks, licensure verification/renewal, and required health screenings).
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS system and personnel files.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, PTO and procedures.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking utilizing Excel Spreadsheets, ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support compliance with federal/state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEOC) and regulatory requirements relevant to behavioral health (e.g., HIPAA for staff, credential tracking).
- Maintain and update HR documents and business trackers.
- Track and document compliance items such as certification, continuing education, and licensure renewals for clinical staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information and adhere to HIPAA and organizational privacy standards.
- Report any concerns or potential policy violations.
- Adhere to HR metrics and measurable outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of HR experience preferably in healthcare or behavioral health fields.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, administrative skills, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Knowledge of basic employment law and HR best practices. (HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Must have driver’s license
- Experience supporting HR or compliance in a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
- Experience assisting with credentialing or licensure tracking.
- Experience with benefits administration and generating HR metrics.
- Standard office setting within a behavioral health facility or administrative office.
- Full-time, typically Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Occasional travel between sites for staff support or training sessions.
