Operations Technician - Materials Handling & Equipment Setup

Your impact

From the first material staged to the last component inspected, your attention to detail ensures safe, reliable equipment reaches our customers. You’ll coordinate material flow, support shipping and receiving, and process raw materials (including thermoplastics). You’ll configure tools and equipment for each production run, assemble fan systems and related components, and verify quality at every checkpoint—capturing measurements and pass/fail results. You’ll also help drive continuous improvement by logging production data, scrap, downtime, and deviations, and by contributing in team productivity meetings. When issues arise, you’ll execute basic troubleshooting and maintenance to keep operations moving, always aligned to our safety, quality, and environmental commitments.

Key accountabilities

• Apply 5S to maintain a clean, efficient workstation.
• Operate and adjust production and assembly equipment to achieve output goals.
• Set up tools and machines tailored to each job.
• Perform material handling; assist with shipping/receiving.
• Work with thermoplastics and other raw materials.
• Assemble fans, subassemblies, and system components.
• Inspect components and finished goods; document measurements and outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Record production metrics, scrap, downtime, and process deviations.
• Engage in production and productivity meetings.
• Comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Take on other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly.
• Mechanical skill with hand tools and measurement devices (including tape measures).
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use.

Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, moving equipment and other standard industrial conditions, and is required to wear to personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Physical Demands: Positions in this function typically require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
