Senior Litigation Attorney Location: Cleveland, OH 44130 Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Litigation Attorney to join our law firm in Cleveland. This attorney will play a key role in leading and expanding our commercial litigation practice , managing high-stakes cases, and providing strategic guidance to a diverse client base.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Case Leadership: Lead and manage commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution (drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation).

• Expert Counsel: Provide expert legal advice on complex commercial disputes (e.g., breach of contract, business torts, shareholder disputes, fraud claims).

• Courtroom Advocacy: Handle all aspects of litigation, including depositions, mediations, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in federal and state courts .

• Client Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and offering business-minded legal solutions.

• Cross-Collaboration: Collaborate with other firm practice groups (employment, corporate, real estate, estate planning) to provide integrated services for clients.

• Mentorship: Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and legal staff on strategy, case management, and professional development.

• Business Development: Drive growth by expanding the existing client base, identifying new market opportunities, and participating in firm marketing initiatives.

• Firm Leadership: Contribute to the firm's leadership and strategy through participation in management decisions, practice development, and principal meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in commercial litigation with a proven track record of success.

• Licensure: Licensed to practice law in Ohio.

• Courtroom Proficiency: Extensive trial and courtroom experience in federal and state courts.

• Core Competencies:

  • Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills with a strategic approach to dispute resolution.

  • Strong business acumen to understand client needs and offer practical solutions.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills .
