Analytical Associate

Job Title: Analytical Associate (Part-time)
Location: Mason, OH
Type: Contract
Compensation: $40-46.63/hr
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 20 hours/week - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Perform physical, chemical, or bioanalytical characterization of finished product or raw material test samples using various chemistry techniques and scientific methods.
• Operate instrumentation such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, pipettes, and other basic lab equipment.
• Prepare samples, including formulation weighing, transferring, and mixing powders and liquids.
• Maintain accurate notebook documentation of experimental procedures and data.
• Review reports and ensure compliance with quality systems.
• Follow detailed instructions on assignment objectives with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Spend significant time in the laboratory performing analyses and technical tasks.
• Understand how data affects business decisions and prepare reports detailing findings and recommended solutions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Relevant experience in an academic or industrial laboratory setting, emphasizing notebook documentation.
• Ability to analyze and document various data types.
• Proficiency in operating basic lab equipment including pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometers, etc.
• Strong math skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience following lab procedures and safety behaviors.
• Ability to formulate and prepare solutions by weighing, combining, transferring, and mixing powders and liquids.
