Responsibilities
Electrical Estimator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic estimating team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This in-office role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects through accurate cost estimation and collaboration with our team of Division Managers. Experience in Single-Family or Multi-Family projects is a strong plus!
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work.
- Utilize estimating software to perform quantity takeoffs and create detailed proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and budgets.
- Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to develop competitive estimates.
- Review and analyze historical data to inform and refine estimation processes.
- Assist in preparing bid packages, including proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor industry trends, labor costs, and material pricing to maintain up-to-date and accurate estimates.
- Maintain clear and organized records of all estimates and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
What You Bring :
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, with a strong understanding of residential Single-Family and Multi-Family construction projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software or similar tools is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation techniques.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
