Lead Construction Carpenter
We are seeking a skilled Landscape Construction Carpenter to join our team. As a valued member of our crew, you will be responsible for executing and assisting with high-quality carpentry projects, both independently and as part of a team. Your strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities
- Executing carpentry projects with building outdoor amenities such as decks, fences and gates
- Operating small and heavy equipment
- Maintaining organization and care of equipment
- Upholding safety and quality standards
- Reporting on project progress
- Building framework to strengthen or protect building foundations
- Following directions from others and communicate effectively regarding specifications of projects
- Pick up equipment and materials that are needed as requested
- Attend meetings
- Installation of low voltage lighting
- Work in various outdoor conditions
Qualifications
- Ability to read tape measurements and understand basic math skills
- Understanding of materials used for jobs
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks such as standing, walking, digging, stooping, crouching, or crawling
- Ability to climb large structures and show balance
- Proficiency in operating a variety of hand tools and equipment
- Visually compare and see differences in size and shapes of materials and structures
- Understanding of safety codes and regulations for inspection standards
- Ability to work alongside Landscape Construction Crew Leader and other team members
- Takes initiative to work independently when needed
- Maintain valid driver’s license
- Demonstrate time management and detail oriented skills
- 3-5 years of experience as a lead carpenter
