Mailroom Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Prepare outgoing mail, including packaging, labeling, and arranging for pickup or delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, scanners, and printers.
- Ensure timely and secure handling of sensitive or confidential documents.
- Monitor inventory of mailroom supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Assist with document scanning, filing, and archiving tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support administrative and logistical needs.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office, email systems).
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 25 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with mailroom equipment and procedures is a plus
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a mailroom, administrative, or clerical role preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
