A local organization is seeking an Accountant who will be responsible for the daily activity and prepare interim and annual financial reports for endowment funds, as well as assist in the daily operation and internal control of the accounting department. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Prepare periodic financial reports for endowment funds, special purpose funds, and Security, including, for example, reports for presentation to committees and internal financials for inclusion in quarterly reports required by banks
• Prepare schedules for year-end consolidation and footnotes for external audit
• Calculations of spending available from endowment funds, and fees due from such funds
• Accounting for activity for Security, Endowment, and Special Purpose funds
• Assist with billing for JFC Security LLC
• Assist with budget development and management for cemeteries and Security
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting
• Must have at least 3 years' work experience in accounting and developed knowledge of standard accounting practices
• Certified Public Accountant, experience in public accounting as an auditor or working in accounting with a non-profit organization, and experience with NetSuite Software is preferred
• Must have the ability to read and interpret accounting reports, write reports, and business correspondence
• High degree of confidence with technology and experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel is required
• Must have strong organizational, staff development, well-developed analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Must be able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines
• Must have a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, attention to detail, follow-up, along with being self-motivated, proactive, and solution focused
• The ability to express self effectively while functioning in a high volume, performance-oriented environment
• Must be able to tactfully and effectively deal with colleagues and the general public in a personable and professional manner
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
